The Belgian Mountainbike Challenge, in short the BeMC, is a four day stage race in the Belgian Ardennes, a region know from the famous battle of the Bulge during the second World War.
With over 8.000 vertical meters of climbing in 260 km, the race is not called "the hardest mountainbike tour in the Benelux" for nothing. Especially knowing that the highest point of the race is just a little over 600m. So expect a lot of short but steep climbs. The BeMC is made up of a prologue time trail on day 1 and three marathon stages between 60 and 100 km on days 2, 3 and 4.
The race is part of the UCI calendar as a UCI XCS S1 event and attracts 600 participants from more than 20 different countries every year, including several world class riders.
