Alpen Tour Trophy 2021
Alpentour Trophy 2021! The Alpentour Trophy MTB stage race will take place from 10th - 13th June 2021 in the Austrian Schladming-Dachstein region. This race has a comfortable event base with start and finish right in the heart of Schladming close to hotels and an Alpine buzzing village atmosphere with cafes and restaurants surrounding a charming main square. With its 22-year history, this event has established itself as one of the major European stage races and offers elite racers a competitive fight for international world ranking points by the international cycling federation UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale). The majority of event participants are amateur racers who enjoy the unique four-day stage plan through the pristine Alpine landscape of the Schladming-Dachstein region with almost 188 km and 9,050 m of elevation on the tour program. Some of the most iconic mountain peaks in the region will offer incredible views into the heart of the Styrian Alps: the race will pass through the village of Ramsau and past the majestic Dachstein and feature picturesque valleys and the legendary snowfields around the Giglach Lakes. Each year the event includes a 1300m elevation individual time trial from the event stadium high up on to the Planai mountain, rewarding the racers with stunning views across the impressive Alpine region. New! Because of the high demand for 2021 the organization has raised the maximum number of participants from 400 to 550 riders.
